According to the publications by Korea's Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, Korea's total exports in 2006 will hit US$318 billion, recording 11.7% growth over the previous year. Of the large share of ICT products that comprise Korea's total exports, digital home appliance exports will reach US$115 billion, up 11.9%. Semiconductor exports will see 16.3% growth, to US$35 billion, due to increasing demand for NAND flash. Wireless communications equipment exports are expected to grow 16%, to US$32 billion, owing to the replacement effect driven by the clearance of Korean terminal inventories overseas. In addition, exports of home appliances and computers are projected to slide 3.1% and 7.5%, to US$14.3 billion and US$13.1 billion, respectively.
